For the first time a Generator of 50 KW at Jamey Masjid and Imam Khomeini Street intersection with 2 kilometers area providing electricity coverage was installed in 1309. From 1311 till 1337 by installing 7 Diesel Generators of 450KW added to the said capacity and till the end of 1345 Yazd Electricity was onwed and managed by private proprietorship named Mr. Mehraban Kawoosi. After that date Ministry of Energy took the custody of its management on behalf of the government and as a result managed to increase the capacity of total Diesel Generators to 6400KW by 1351. In 1355 and 1357, each time 2 Gas Turbine with a capacity of 2x24.25MW through Tavanir Company were installed at Yazd Power Plant. By commissioning and operation of 230/63KV temporary substation with a capacity of 125MVA in 1361 and 400MVA in 1365, the electricity of Yazd province was connected to the Country's Network Grid of 400KV, and moreover, in 1367 Yazd Regional Electric Company was established and with respect to the province development, Yazd Electricty Distribution Company was also established in 1371. Besides Yazd Power Generation Management was established in 1378 and 2 Gas Turbine Units (2x60MW) were installed. Nevertheless, 2 Alsthom Combined Cycle Units with a capacity of 2x123/4MW were also installed in 1379.
The most significant and valuable infrastructures in the history of YREC are as follows.
1- Commissioning and execution of 400/230/63/33KV Yazd II S/S in 1376. 2- Installation of 2 Gas Turbine Units with a capacity of 2x60MW in 1378. 3- Installation of 2 Alsthom Combined Cycle Units with a capacity of 2x123.4MW in 1379. 4- Commissioning and execution of 230/63KV Ardakan S/S in 1381. 5- Commissioning and execution of Yazd I – Yazd II 400KV Lines in 1382. 6- Commissioning and execution of 230/63KV Yazd North Substation in 1384. 7- Construction of 270 KM 400KV Lines Yazd II – Isfahan in 1386. 8- Construction of 300 KM 400KV Lines Yazd I – Kerman in 1386. |
